The White Aurelia Knot Belt by Tzave Designs is the brighter sister of the original Aurelia — the same pair of round clasps wrapped in tightly coiled gold-tone cord, now set against a clean white weave. Aurelia means “golden”, and against white the gold reads even warmer: two knots hooked together at the front, a quiet nod to the twisted goldwork of Greek jewellery, from the Hellenistic knot to the fine threadwork of Byzantine goldsmiths.

The woven stretch band has a fine, textured finish and the give of elastic, so it sits flat and moves with you — one simple hook to close, no holes, no fiddling. At 69 cm stretching to about 80 cm, it is made for a neat, defined waist.

White on white over a linen dress, or bright against navy, black or sun-warmed skin — it lifts whatever it touches. So light you will forget you are wearing it, distinctive enough that someone will ask where it is from. A little of the Cyclades, worn exactly where it is noticed.
