A LIFELONG DIALOGUE WITH GREEK ART

George Halikias started his jewellery art in 1988 as an apprentice in one of the best workshops in Athens.

He learned next to craftsmen with high potential from different parts of the world, like Russia, Istanbul,  Armenia and Syria.  The brand was known as Adler.

After 5 years, he went to work at Vafiadis, a workshop that specialised in ancient Greek jewellery technics. In parallel, he took classes in free style drawing and painting, hagiography and sculpture.

Practicing and exploring art in his workshop frees his mind and takes him to another place. His love for the ancient Greek art is his drive to create masterpieces one of a kind.

Today, he works with some of the most famous jewellery stores in Athens, creates jewellery for the gift shop of Acropolis Museum and others. In his spare time he enjoys fishing in the Ionian Islands.
