Half Aegean water, half sun-bleached shore — clasped together at the throat.

The Thalassa Necklace was made exclusively for Thalassea by Lemontree, and it is named for the word at the heart of ours — thalassa, the sea. One side is a strand of turquoise-blue beads, the colour of a cove seen from a cliff path; the other, slender tubes of white shell spaced with tiny metal beads, like pebbles at the waterline. Where the two meet, a single pearl-white bead marks the horizon.

Worn short and close, it sits beautifully alone with a linen shirt, or layers with a fine chain for more summer at the collarbone. It is the kind of piece that brings an island afternoon to an ordinary Tuesday.

Choose the gold-tone or silver-tone stainless steel version: everyday metal made to be worn, not kept in a drawer. Each white shell tube measures approx. 1.2 cm, and a lobster clasp with extender chain lets you adjust the fit.
