Antonia Iroidou takes the traditional costumes of sixteen Greek regions — the embroidered vests of Epirus, the island dress of the Aegean, the highland garments of Macedonia — and runs them through a contemporary pop art lens that makes them feel urgent, vivid, and completely alive. Not museum pieces. Not folklore. Living culture, rendered in bold colour and clean line by one of Greece’s most distinctive contemporary artists.
Each of the sixteen cards carries its own regional identity and its own cultural story. Together they form a portrait of Greece that no single image could — the extraordinary diversity of a country whose traditions vary as dramatically as its landscapes.
