"As Medea!" echoes the refrain, yet who was Medea? A figure known across centuries primarily for her harrowing days as a refugee in Corinth, where the infamous tale unfolded—Jason's abandonment, Medea's vengeance culminating in the tragic demise of their two children. The early chapters of her life remain shrouded in relative obscurity, overshadowed by the narrative of the Argonaut Campaign, entwined with Jason's schemes and Medea's unwavering support—a protector and aide.

However, the enigma lingers: What were Medea's thoughts, her dreams?

She assumed the guise of a sinister enchantress, a devoted accomplice to her lover, and ultimately, a woman whose hands became stained with the blood of her own offspring in the pursuit of love's retribution. Infanticide, ostensibly driven by the tumultuous currents of love and betrayal, left me unconvinced by this prevailing interpretation.

In response, I embarked on a journey to revisit an age-old tale, determined to craft a novel that unveiled the layers of a different woman—one akin to Medea, yet distinct. Thus, "Like Medea" became more than a title; it evolved into an exploration of a character with a narrative that diverges from the conventional, shedding light on Medea's inner thoughts and unexplored dreams.
