Anogia does not follow trends. It never has.
High in the mountains of Crete, the village of Anogia has been weaving the same way for centuries. Not because it lacks imagination — but because it understood long ago that some things do not need to be improved. The patterns passed from mother to daughter, the techniques refined over generations, the particular character of Cretan textile craft that is instantly recognisable to anyone who knows what they are looking at — these are not traditions that survived by accident. They survived because they were worth keeping.
The Anogia Clutch by Argalios carries that inheritance directly. The bold black ornamental motif woven across the natural cream base is not a design reference to Cretan folk art — it is Cretan folk art, rendered by hand using the traditional weaving techniques that have defined this mountain village's identity for generations.
