The Tagari Milopotamos takes its motif from one such double-panel patania, originally woven by Mrs. Dora Spachi: a black folk medallion set against natural cream, carried now on a bag instead of a bed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe woven front is made on a manual loom, thread by thread in cotton, its surface textured where the pattern rises; the back is cotton canvas, and the interior is lined in cotton.
